Job PurposeThe External Wholesaler, Bank Channel; NC(West), SC(West) is responsible for creating new and managing existing relationships with regional wirehouses, brokers and agents to increase revenue of Jackson products throughout the given territory.

This is accomplished through meetings, seminars and training workshops.

The External Wholesaler is responsible for keeping regional wirehouses and brokers informed of Jackson’s rapidly changing product and service enhancements.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities* Works closely with the Divisional Vice President to develop an appropriate business plan to maximize territorial sales.* Identifies and develops top producing brokers.

Recruits new brokers and strengthen relationships with existing producing brokers.* Conducts product and sales training through individual and group training sessions, seminars, workshops and branch meetings.* Strategically plans and manages the deployment of resources to maximize territorial sales while being responsible for budgeting and expenses.* Works in conjunction with an Internal Wholesaler to identify and foster leads generated from referrals, ad campaigns and territory canvassing.* Utilizes Jackson databases to create and maintain broker profile levels and data on current and proposed sales activity.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* Strong ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely.

Ability to create and deliver effective presentations, seminars, workshops and branch meetings to current and prospective brokers.* Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices.

Expected to maintain knowledge of existing Jackson products, new or enhanced Jackson products, and new and existing Jackson marketing campaigns.* Experience in marketing investments, annuities, and life insurance to agents/brokers.

Ability to identify and position the products and services brokers use in financial planning.* Proven ability in growing a territory as measured by sales and persistency of business.* Strong aptitude for technology, including software applications, e-mail and database management from remote locations.* Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel.

Minimum of four days per week in the field conducting presentations, seminars, workshops and branch meetings required.Education and Experience Required* Bachelor’s degree required* 3+ years of sales experience in investments, mutual funds, insurance or annuities required.

5+ years of experience preferred.* Previous experience with regional and wirehouse wholesaling preferred.* Prior insurance or investment wholesaling experience is preferred.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required* FINRA Series 6 and 63 required.* Current state life insurance license preferred.We don’t just accept difference
